Repurposed Drug Prioritisation Pipeline for an Alzheimer’s Disease Multi‐arm Platform Trial [PDF]

open access: yesAlzheimers Dement
Abstract Background Despite recent developments in amyloid‐clearing therapies for Alzheimer's Disease (AD), there remains a need for more effective, safe treatments. Funded by the UK National Institute of Health and Care Research, our aim was to establish a robust, systematic, and unbiased drug prioritisation pipeline to identify repurposed drugs with ...

A randomized controlled trial comparing isosorbide dinitrate-oxytocin versus misoprostol-oxytocin at management of foetal intrauterine death.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
BackgroundThe metabolic activity of endogenous nitric oxide (NO) and the medical use of nitrovasodilatory drugs like isosorbide dinitrate have been shown to be potential inducers inducers of cervical ripening prior to surgical evacuation of the uterus ...

Monofilaments of isosorbide-based tetrapolyesters with enhanced (bio)degradability prepared by a solid-state drawing process: Synthesis and struture-property relations

open access: yesGiant
To enhance the degradation rate of poly (butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) in the natural environment and to investigate the effect of modified monomers on the molding and structure of copolyester fibers, a series of isosorbide modified PBAT ...

Synthesis and anionic polymerization of isosorbide mono-epoxides for linear biobased polyethers

open access: yesPolymer Chemistry, 2021
A series of regioisomeric isosorbide mono-epoxides, as well as diastereomerically pure mono-epoxy derivatives, have been prepared and studied. Anionic ring-opening polymerization of methoxy-capped monomers produced linear polyethers tethered with ...
