Classically isospinning Hopf solitons [PDF]
We perform full three-dimensional numerical relaxations of isospinning Hopf solitons with Hopf charge up to 8 in the Skyrme-Faddeev model with mass terms included. We explicitly allow the soliton solution to deform and to break the symmetries of the static configuration.

Isospin Conservation in Neutron Rich Systems of Heavy Nuclei
It is generally believed that isospin would diminish in its importance as we go towards heavy mass region due to isospin mixing caused by the growing Coulomb forces.

Two- and Three-Pion Finite-Volume Spectra at Maximal Isospin from Lattice QCD. [PDF]
We present the three-pion spectrum with maximal isospin in a finite volume determined from lattice QCD, including excited states in addition to the ground states across various irreducible representations at zero and nonzero total momentum.

ISOSPIN IN FRAGMENT PRODUCTION [PDF]
Based on a general approach to binary systems we show that in the low density region asymmetric nuclear matter (ANM) is unstable only against isoscalarlike fluctuations. The physical meaning of the thermodynamical chemical and mechanical instabilities is related to the inequality relations verified by the strength of interaction among different ...

Isospin-violating dark matter [PDF]
Searches for dark matter scattering off nuclei are typically compared assuming that the dark matter's spin-independent couplings are identical for protons and neutrons. This assumption is neither innocuous nor well motivated. We consider isospin-violating dark matter (IVDM) with one extra parameter, the ratio of neutron to proton couplings, and include

The pn interaction and isospin symmetry
A possible correlation between isospin symmetry/breaking and the average proton-neutron interaction of the last particles, δVpn, is discussed. This correlation is tested for Tz = ±1/2 mirror nuclei in terms of a differential of δVpn, Δ(δVpn), and their ...

Exclusive measurement of isospin mixing at high temperature in 32S
Exclusive measurement of isospin (I) mixing in 32S at high temperature (T) has been performed utilizing the γ-decay of isovector giant dipole resonance (IVGDR).

Classically isospinning Skyrmion solutions [PDF]
We investigate how isospin affects the geometrical shape and energy of classical soliton solutions of topological charges $B=1-4,8$ in the Skyrme model. The novel approach in our work is that we study classically isospinning Skyrmions beyond the rigid-body approximation; that is, we explicitly allow the soliton solutions to deform and to break the ...

Phases of cold holographic QCD: Baryons, pions and rho mesons
We improve the holographic description of isospin-asymmetric baryonic matter within the Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto model by accounting for a realistic pion mass, computing the pion condensate dynamically, and including rho meson condensation by allowing the ...

Isospin splittings of baryons [PDF]
We discuss the isospin-breaking mass differences among baryons, with particular attention in the charm sector to the $ _c^{+}- _c^0$, $ _c^{++}- _c^0$, and $ _c^+- _c^0$ splittings. Simple potential models cannot accommodate the trend of the available data on charm baryons. More precise measurements would offer the possibility of testing how well
