Isosteric heat of adsorption from thermodynamic Langmuir isotherm

Adsorption, 2021
The recently developed thermodynamic Langmuir isotherm model is used to estimate the isosteric heat of adsorption for pure component adsorption. Specifically, pure component adsorption isotherms at different temperatures are first correlated with the thermodynamic Langmuir isotherm model.

Isosteric Heat of Adsorption:  Theory and Experiment

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 1999
The isosteric heats of adsorption of the components of a gas mixture are critical variables for design of adsorbers for gas separation. They can be unambiguously defined by the Gibbsian Surface Excess (GSE) model of multicomponent adsorption. These variables can be experimentally measured by multicomponent differential calorimetry (MDC) and directly ...

Isosteric Heats of Gas and Liquid Adsorption

Langmuir, 2013
The heat of adsorption is an indicator of the strength of the interaction between an adsorbate and a solid adsorbent. This parameter can be determined from the heat released in calorimetric experiments or from the analysis of adsorption isotherms at different temperatures.
