Evaluation of Saccharum bengalense as a Non-Conventional Biomaterial for Biosorption of Mn (II) Ions from Aqueous Solutions [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2018
In this study, Saccharum bengalense(SB) was used as biosorbent for the removal of Mn (II) ions from aqueous solution. The influence of biosorbent dose, time, pH and temperature was investigated in the biosorption process.

Molecular Adsorbing Host•Guest (MAHG) Crystals: A New Paradigm for Porous Materials?

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Networking! Introduction of guest molecules in macrocycles before crystallization profoundly influences the material obtained in terms of structure and function. Beside simplicity and porous space improvement, this approach is endowed with a huge potential given the myriad of potential guest molecules that can be used to tune this burgeoning class of ...

Dipole‐Engineered Conductive Additives for Ultrastable Interphase Evolution in High‐Areal‐Capacity Silicon Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In the work reported herein, dipole‐engineered sulfonated carbon nanofibers enable conductive additives to actively regulate interphase formation in silicon anodes. Polar sulfonyl groups guide electrolyte decomposition to form a compact LiF‐rich interphase while promoting robust integration with silicon.

Adsorção de fósforo em frações argila na presença de ácido fúlvico Phosphorus adsorption by clay fractions in the presence of fulvic acid
