Adsorption Kinetics and Isotherm Models: A Review

open access: yesCaliphate Journal of Science and Technology, 2022
Adsorption Kinetics describes the rate at which solute is adsorbed and the resident time of the adsorbates on the solid-liquid interface. Adsorption isotherms play important role in determining the interaction between adsorbate and adsorbent and the ...

Development of a Multicomponent Adsorption Isotherm Equation and Its Validation by Modeling

open access: yesLangmuir, 2023
Researchers have made significant efforts over the past few decades to understand adsorption by developing various simple adsorption isotherm models. However, though many contaminants usually occur as multicomponent mixtures in nature, multicomponent ...

Freundlich Isotherm: An Adsorption Model Complete Framework

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The absolute majority of modern studies dealing with the interpretation of experimental data on the basis of the Freundlich isotherm ignore the fact that the data obtained for regions of low and moderate adsorbate concentration/pressure can be ...

Adsorption of methyl violet dye onto a prepared bio-adsorbent from date seeds: isotherm, kinetics, and thermodynamic studies

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
Raw date seeds, as prospective natural, broadly obtainable and low-price agricultural waste for adsorbing cationic dyes from aqueous solutions, have been studied. In this work, Iraqi date seeds were prepared and characterised using X-ray diffraction (XRD)

Sorption of Remazol Black B dye in alluvial soils of the Capibaribe River Basin, Pernambuco, Brazil

open access: yesRevista Ambiente & Água, 2020
Wastewater from textile industries is loaded with synthetic dyes. These effluents are often not adequately treated, affecting the soil and groundwater quality and leading to environmental contamination.

Discrete isothermic surfaces. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal für die reine und angewandte Mathematik (Crelles Journal), 1996
Discrete isothermic surfaces are defined as the maps \(F: \mathbb{Z}^2\to \mathbb{R}^3\) such that all elementary quadrilaterals of the surface have cross ratio \(-1\). It is shown that these discrete surfaces possess properties which are characteristic for smooth isothermic surfaces (Möbius invariance, dual surface).

Adsorption isotherm modeling for methylene blue removal onto magnetic kaolinite clay: a comparison of two-parameter isotherms

open access: yesApplied Water Science, 2021
In this work, kaolinite clay was modified with magnetic magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4@MC) by co-precipitation with ferrous and ferric ions as iron precursors to ameliorate its textural and adsorption capacity for methylene blue (MB) dye uptake from ...
