Isothermal annealing of cold-rolled high-purity nickel

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2008
Abstract Electron backscattered patterns have been employed to reveal the details of the texture evolution in 90%, 95% and 97.5% cold-rolled, polycrystalline, high-purity nickel specimens after 1 h anneals at a variety of temperatures. The results show that increasing the thickness reduction of cold-rolling both strengthened the cube texture ...

Graphite strip rapid isothermal annealing of tantalum silicide

Journal of Applied Physics, 1984
Silicon-poor tantalum silicide films cosputtered on polycrystalline silicon over thermal oxide on silicon were rapidly annealed for various temperatures and times using a graphite strip heater. Rutherford backscattering and x-ray diffraction showed rapid formation of a stoichiometric tantalum disilicide via Si diffusion from the polycrystalline Si ...

Study on Co∕Pt Multilayer with Isothermal Annealing

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2011
Co/Pt multilayer system has been grown using Ion beam sputtering process. The multilayer system has been vacuum annealed at various temperatures. The structural and magnetic properties have been investigated by using X‐ray reflectivity, X‐ray diffraction and magneto optical Kerr effect. It has been observed that thermal annealing results in the partial

Isochronal and Isothermal Annealing of Wrought Aluminum Alloy

Defect and Diffusion Forum, 2011
Positron annihilation lifetime (PAL) is one of the most important nuclear techniques used in material science. Electrical measurements are also used in material science. Samples of 25 % deformation have been used for these studies. Both positron annihilation lifetime and electrical measurements were used to determined the activation energy of migration

Langmuir Isotherms of Quenched and Annealed Polyelectrolyte Brushes

Langmuir, 2000
We report here Langmuir isotherms of diblock copolymers containing a short neutral hydrophobic sequence (polystyrene) and a long water-soluble polyelectrolyte sequence (polyvinyl-2-pyridine). This study focuses on the polyelectrolyte sequence, which is a weak polyelectrolyte when unmodified and strong polyelectrolyte when quaternized.

Deformation and isothermal annealing behaviour of nickel

British Journal of Applied Physics, 1967
Isothermal annealing of cold-worked nickel produces softening which initially occurs exponentially but which is followed by a sigmoidal stage. A theory of isothermal softening behaviour, based upon polygonization of subgrains, is presented.

Isothermal Annealing of Space Charge in MNOS Structures

physica status solidi (a), 1986
The influence of X-ray irradiation on the stationary conductivity and isothermal depolarization of MNOS structures is studied. It is shown that low-temperature annealing of radiated MNOS structures without bias voltage increases activation energy under isothermal depolarization from EA = 0.8 eV up to EA = 1.4 eV.

Isothermal annealing of oxygen decorated defects in silver

Hyperfine Interactions, 1983
The dynamics of trapping and detrapping processes of oxygen decorated radiation defects in silver were investigated by the TDPAC technique. Three defect clusters containing In, oxygen and vacancies were studied by isothermal annelaing experiments between 250°C and 450°C.

Phase Formation in Isothermally Annealed (Co0.95Fe0.05)89Zr7B4 Nanocrystalline Alloys

Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, 2007
This report focuses on the phase relations and transformations in a (Fe0.05Co0.95)89Zr7B4 melt-spun alloy with an emphasis on crystallization and its effects on thermomagnetic properties. When as-spun ribbons are annealed at relatively low temperatures (near primary crystallization), the nucleation and growth of nonequilibrium body-centered-cubic (bcc)

Counterions influence the isothermal self-assembly of DNA nanostructures.

Science Advances
DNA nanostructures are typically assembled by thermal annealing in buffers containing magnesium. We demonstrate the assembly of DNA nanostructures at constant temperatures ranging from 4° to 50°C in solutions containing different counterions.
