The vanadium isotopic constitution of petroleum asphaltenes: La Luna Formation (Venezuela) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2000
High resolution mass spectrometry indicates that the isotopic abundance of 50Vanadium (V) of the Late Cretaceous La Luna petroleum asphaltenes and related source kerogen of marine origin (both highly enriched with V > 2000 ppm) is higher by ...

Effects of spawning Pacific salmon on terrestrial invertebrates: Insects near spawning habitat are isotopically enriched with nitrogen‐15 but display no differences in body size

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2021
When Pacific salmon (Oncorhynchus spp.) spawn and die, they deliver marine‐derived nutrient subsidies to freshwater and riparian ecosystems. These subsidies can alter the behavior, productivity, and abundance of recipient species and their habitats ...

From stable isotope ecology to forensic isotope ecology — Isotopes’ tales [PDF]

open access: yesForensic Science International, 2019
Stable isotope ecology and forensic isotope ecology are not only linked by name. More often than not, knowledge and insights gained through the former serve as a springboard for application focused work of the latter. This review aims to offer a glimpse into the fascinating world of both though with more emphasis on forensic isotope ecology.

Study on behaviors of PO43- in the sediment of the West Lake using isotope trace technique

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2002
Under laboratory condition, the technique of the isotope trace was applied to investigate 32P-PO43- behaviors in water/sediments of the West Lake. The results showed that 32P-PO43- in water/sediments declined exponentialy with time.
