Narrow Inhomogeneous Distribution and Charge State Stabilization of Lead‐Vacancy Centers in Diamond

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lead‐vacancy (PbV) centers in diamond are expected to be a building block of quantum network nodes owing to a large ground state splitting, which suppresses phonon interaction. In this study, multiple PbV centers with nearly identical photon frequencies and stable charge state are fabricated by high‐pressure and high‐temperature anneal up to 2300 °C ...

Identification of karst water inflow sources in the main shaft of Lianhuashan, Jingxiang phosphate mine, Hubei Province

open access: yesShuiwen dizhi gongcheng dizhi
Karst mining areas are characterized by pronounced heterogeneity due to extensive karst development, making them particularly susceptible to water inrush and groundwater contamination during deep extension mining.

Precision measurement of the 5 2S1/2 - 4 2D5/2 quadrupole transition isotope shift between 88Sr+ and 86Sr+

open access: yes, 2010
We have measured the isotope shift of the narrow quadrupole-allowed 5 2S1/2 - 4 2D5/2 transition in 86Sr+ relative to the most abundant isotope 88Sr+.

Advancing Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction: Overcoming Rate‐Limiting Bottlenecks with Copper/Cobalt Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This paper synthesizes CuO@CuCo2O4 catalysts via an emulsion hydrothermal method. Among them, CuCuCo2O4 perfectly inherits the advantages of CuO and Co3O4 and successfully connects the reactions in series. During the electrolysis process, CuO is reduced to Cu.

The Response of Magnesium, Silicon, and Calcium Isotopes to Rapidly Uplifting and Weathering Terrains: South Island, New Zealand

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2019
Silicate weathering is a dominant control on the natural carbon cycle. The supply of rock (e.g., via mountain uplift) has been proposed as a key weathering control, and suggested as the primary cause of Cenozoic cooling.

Delivery of Islatravir via High Drug‐Load, Long‐acting Microarray Patches for the Prevention or Treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
Islatravir‐loaded dissolving microarray patches (MAPs) provide a minimally invasive, long‐acting solution for HIV‐1 prevention and treatment. In rats, sustained islatravir delivery lasts up to three months, while in minipigs, efficacious plasma levels are detected for six days.

Quantifying the fate of wastewater nitrogen discharged to a Canadian river

open access: yesFACETS, 2019
Addition of nutrients, such as nitrogen, can degrade water quality in lakes, rivers, and estuaries. To predict the fate of nutrient inputs, an understanding of the biogeochemical cycling of nutrients is needed. We develop and employ a novel, parsimonious,

Further evidence for three-nucleon spin-orbit interaction in isotope shifts of $Z=\mathrm{magic}$ nuclei

open access: yes, 2015
It was pointed out [Phys. Rev. C \textbf{91}, 021302(R)] that the isotope shifts of the Pb nuclei, the kink at $N=126$ in particular, can be well described by the Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov calculations if a density-dependent LS interaction derived from the
