Nitrogen fixation sensitivity related to water use efficiency at reproductive development in soybean
Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] nitrogen fixation is sensitive differentially to drought among different genotypes at different growth and development stages, which directly affects soybean yield. Acetylene reduction activity (ARA) response to a gradual

Analysis of plant metabolite 13C-enrichments with gas-chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) has gained interest recently. By combining multiple fragments of a trimethylsilyl (TMS) derivative, 13C-positional enrichments can be calculated. However, this

Inferring individual marine migration from otolith ecogeochemical signatures of a wide-ranging fish
Despite technical advances in archival tag attachment and functional longevity, long-term tracking of individuals of some fish species remains prohibitively difficult.

Intensive rainfall recharges tropical groundwaters
Dependence upon groundwater to meet rising agricultural and domestic water needs is expected to increase substantially across the tropics where, by 2050, over half of the world’s population is projected to live.

Homomolecular and Isotopic Exchange Reactions by Catalyst
It is widely used in the light-isotopes enrichment by distillation, such as H2, O2, N2, CO, etc. It can not get high abundance of isotopes in the late stage of enrichment for these two-atom include two isotopes, and it needs to add a reaction conversion ...

The First 10 Million Years of Rear‐Arc Magmas Following Backarc Basin Formation Behind the Izu Arc
IODP Site U1437 is located in the Izu rear‐arc region, approximately 330 km west of the Izu‐Bonin trench axis. The oldest four units (Units IV through Unit VII) include volcaniclastic sediment and in situ hyaloclastites.

Abstract An isotope method of venography using 99mTc as pertechnetate (or MAA technetium) and a gamma camera is described. Initial results are encouraging. Good visualization of the major venous channels in the lower limbs and pelvis can easily be obtained.

AbstractThe measurement of isotopic ratios provides a privileged insight both into nucleosynthesis and into the mechanisms operating in stellar envelopes, such as gravitational settling. In this article, we give a few examples of how isotopic ratios can be determined from high‐resolution, high‐quality stellar spectra.

Small differences in root distributions allow resource niche partitioning
Deep roots have long been thought to allow trees to coexist with shallow‐rooted grasses. However, data demonstrating how root distributions affect water uptake and niche partitioning are uncommon.
