High Oxidation State V‐O‐Co Structure Promotes the Role of V‐*O Intermediates in Efficient HMF Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By designing a high oxidation state VH‐O‐CoH structure, the V‐*O intermediate can be effectively generated, thereby facilitating the catalytic oxidation of HMF. This innovative design strategy demonstrates broad applicability, as it not only enables the formation of the active intermediate in various materials (V‐Ni2P), but also facilitates its ...

Serine Grafted Silica Coated Nanoscale Zero‐Valent Iron with Enhanced Fenton‐Like Degradation of Mixed Organic Solvents of Tributyl Phosphate and n‐dodecane

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Serine grafted silica coated nanoscale zero‐valent iron is synthesized. Through the SiO2 coating and serine grafting, the aggregation and oxidation of nZVI are reduced, and the slow release of Fe2+ ensured the catalytic cycle. The adsorption capacity for TBP and n‐dodecane is higher, because of the synergistic effect of surface functional groups.

Cobalt Pyrene‐Quaterpyridine Molecular Complex Immobilized on Functionalized Multi‐Walled Carbon Nanotubes as a Robust Hybrid Catalyst for Efficient Electrochemical Reduction of CO2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The efficiency and durability of Coqpy@MWCNT hybrids (qpy = quaterpyridine) for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction are significantly improved by using coordination and enhanced π–π interaction strategy, with TOF of 79 s−1, TON of 5.7 × 105, FE close to 100%; which is achieved by functionalization of MWCNT with carboxyl groups and appending a pyrene group ...

SP1‐Mediated Glycolytic Reprogramming Promotes Tumorigenesis and Progression in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser capture microdissection‐based proteomics of pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PanIN) identifies specificity protein 1 (SP1) as a key driver of tumorigenesis and progression in pancreatic cancer through glycolytic remodeling. SP1 enhances aerobic glycolysis by transcriptionally activating 6‐phosphofructo‐2‐kinase/fructose‐2,6‐bisphosphatase ...

Quantification of Antibiotic Diffusion in Biofilms Using Gold Nanostar Surface‐enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gold nanostar‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) enables real‐time, label‐free tracking of levofloxacin diffusion in intact biofilms. Nanostars embedded 16 µm below the surface detect drug arrival over time, revealing the impact of the biofilm matrix on antibiotic transport. Abstract The increased resistance to antibiotics shown by bacteria in biofilms
