Heterogeneous Photocatalytic Dehydrogenative Cross‐Coupling and Addition Reaction with Metal‐Loaded Titanium Oxide Photocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Heterogeneous photocatalysis with metal‐loaded TiO2 photocatalysts under mild conditions can be utilized for various dehydrogenative cross‐coupling reactions, including the functionalization of aromatic rings via radical addition‐elimination or radical–radical coupling mechanisms, and the radical anti‐Markovnikov addition of alkenes. In some cases, the

Construction of Active Sites‐Accessible Au8 Clusters for Intensive Tumor Pyroptosis

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Ethynylferrocene (EFc) was utilized to engineer molecular‐like gold nanoclusters (NCs) with accessibly catalytic centers, resulting in NCs exhibiting excellent peroxidase‐like activity and the ability to radiosensitize, leading to the production of intracellular oxidative stress and activation of pyroptosis.

Grass functional traits reflect the long history of fire and grazers in the savannas of Texas

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise Understanding relationships among grass traits, fire, and herbivores may help improve conservation strategies for savannas that are threatened by novel disturbance regimes. Emerging theory, developed in Africa, emphasizes that functional traits of savanna grasses reflect the distinct ways that fire and grazers consume biomass ...

A Novel Merocyanine Derivative for Probing Polarity at Cubosome Interfaces

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
This study develops a synthetic route to C10SP, a polarity‐sensitive sensor embedded in phytantriol‐based cubosomes. Strategic steps included tertiary amine‐mediated amidation to covalently attach a hydrophobic tail and controlled nitrogen methylation to form the iminium moiety within the indolenine scaffold.
