Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Synthesis of isotopically labelled ubiquinones

Abstract Ubiquinones ( 1 ) of various chain lengths have been synthesized. The key step involves the condensation of a long chain polyunsaturated alcohol onto an aromatic intermediate. The synthetic methodology allows for the incorporation of isotopic labels in the methoxy groups attached to the ring portion of the molecule.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface

De novo synthesis of short‐chain aldehydes and hydrocarbons secreted by the brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys

The brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys, mainly secretes 4‐oxo‐(E)‐2‐hexenal, (E)‐2‐decenal, dodecane and tridecane, a mixture representative of that released by many heteropterans. We demonstrated that H. halys can synthesise these secretory components de novo using dietary glucose.
