Paradoxically lowered oxygen isotopes of hydrothermally altered minerals by an evolved magmatic water

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
It has been well known that the influxing meteoric water can hydrothermally lower oxygen and hydrogen isotopes of rocks and/or minerals during continental magmatic or metamorphic processes in certain appropriate cases.

Building Mexican isoscapes: Oxygen and hydrogen isotope data of meteoric water sampled across Mexico

open access: yesData in Brief, 2021
Oxygen and hydrogen isotope data of meteoric water samples are compiled from several States across Mexico. This dataset includes 287 oxygen and hydrogen (and deuterium excess) isotope data corresponding to meteoric water collected from the surface ...

Subbarrier interactions of the oxygen isotopes [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 1987
We derive a unified description of the low-energy elastic, inelastic, neutron transfer, and fusion cross sections of systems involving two stable oxygen isotopes. Coupled channels equations with an incoming wave boundary condition are employed, as is the no-recoil approximation; the adiabatic approximation, which violates unitarity, is avoided.

Isotopic and magnetic proxies are good indicators of millennial-scale variability of the East Asian monsoon

open access: yesCommunications Earth & Environment, 2023
Past East Asian Monsoon variability has been reconstructed using oxygen isotopes of cave speleothems as well as proxy indicators from Chinese loess sequences.

Linear Responses in Time-dependent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov Method with Gogny Interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A numerical method to integrate the time-dependent Hartree-Fock Bogoliubov (TDHFB) equations with Gogny interaction is proposed. The feasibility of the TDHFB code is illustrated by the conservation of the energy, particle numbers, and center-of-mass in ...

Sedimentary pyrite sulfur isotopes track the local dynamics of the Peruvian oxygen minimum zone

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
To explore the importance of local vs. global sulfur-cycle controls on variations in pyrite sulfur isotopes, the authors couple carbon-nitrogen-sulfur concentrations and stable isotopes of sediments from the Peruvian oxygen minimum zone, identifying a ...

Redistribution of hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in groundwater flow systems: From altitude effect to depth effect

open access: yesShuiwen dizhi gongcheng dizhi, 2023
The hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in precipitation have the altitude effect, and they participate in the groundwater circulation after the infiltration of precipitation.

Ab-initio computation of neutron-rich oxygen isotopes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We compute the binding energy of neutron-rich oxygen isotopes and employ the coupled-cluster method and chiral nucleon-nucleon interactions at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order with two different cutoffs.

Do oxygen isotope values in collagen reflect the ecology and physiology of neotropical mammals?

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and Evolution, 2015
Stable isotope data provide insight into the foraging ecology of animals. Traditionally, carbon and nitrogen isotope values have been used to infer dietary and habitat preferences.

Adsorption separation of heavier isotope gases in subnanometer carbon pores

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Separation of isotopes of heavier gases than hydrogen or helium is essential for biomedical applications, but current methods are very energy and time consuming.
