A Tracer Diffusion Study of Diverse Photo‐Ionic Phenomena in Strontium Titanate
Two strong interfacial photo‐ionic effects are demonstrated for the model system SrTiO3 through the application of isotope exchange experiments: UV illumination is found to enhance the oxygen surface exchange coefficient by several orders of magnitude and to depress the surface space‐charge potential substantially.

Ab Initio Calculations of Even Oxygen Isotopes with Chiral Two- Plus Three-Nucleon Interactions
We formulate the In-Medium Similarity Renormalization Group (IM-SRG) for open-shell nuclei using a multi-reference formalism based on a generalized Wick theorem introduced in quantum chemistry.

SI‐bioATRP in Mesoporous Silica for Size‐Exclusion Driven Local Polymer Placement
An enzyme‐catalyzed surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI‐bioATRP) of an anionic monomer within mesoporous silica particles, using hemoglobin as a catalyst, allows for controlling the location of the formed polymer via size‐exclusion effects between the nanopores and the biomacromolecules, thereby opening routes to functional ...

A pilot study of stable isotope fractionation in Bombyx mori rearing
Hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen isotopes derived from three different strains of silkworms at different life stages involved in silkworm rearing, were measured to understand the fractionation characteristics of stable isotopes at different stages ...

Study of the effect of the tensor correlation in oxygen isotopes with the charge- and parity-projected Hartree-Fock method [PDF]
Recently, we developed a mean-field-type framework which treats the correlation induced by the tensor force. To exploit the tensor correlation we introduce single-particle states with the parity and charge mixing.

In this study, the preparation techniques for silver‐based gas diffusion electrodes used for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (eCO2R) are systematically reviewed and compared with respect to their scalability. In addition, physics‐based and data‐driven modeling approaches are discussed, and a perspective is given on how modeling can aid ...

Self-consistent Continuum Random Phase Approximation calculations with finite-range interactions
We present a technique which allows us to solve the Random Phase Approximation equations with finite-range interactions and treats the continuum part of the excitation spectrum without approximations. The interaction used in the Hartree-Fock calculations

Observation of Ground-State Two-Neutron Decay [PDF]
Neutron decay spectroscopy has become a successful tool to explore nuclear properties of nuclei with the largest neutron-to-proton ratios. Resonances in nuclei located beyond the neutron dripline are accessible by kinematic reconstruction of the decay ...
