Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI‐MS) combined with thermodynamic modeling provides the first direct characterization of radium speciation in synthetic gastrointestinal biofluids. Free Ra2+ ions predominate with minimal protein binding and negligible EDTA complexation. Crown ethers enable effective Ra complexation.

Innovative Approach to Hydrogen Purification: A Review on the Role of Metal Hydrides
ABSTRACT Metal hydrides, renowned for their unique hydrogen bonding capabilities, have emerged as pivotal materials in the energy sector, particularly for hydrogen storage and purification applications. Their ability to store hydrogen reversibly under moderate conditions has positioned them at the forefront in hydrogen‐based energy systems. This review

Quantum degenerate mixtures of strontium and rubidium atoms
We report on the realization of quantum degenerate gas mixtures of the alkaline-earth element strontium with the alkali element rubidium. A key ingredient of our scheme is sympathetic cooling of Rb by Sr atoms that are continuously laser cooled on a ...

Mass scaling and non-adiabatic effects in photoassociation spectroscopy of ultracold strontium atoms [PDF]
We report photoassociation spectroscopy of ultracold $^{86}$Sr atoms near the intercombination line and provide theoretical models to describe the obtained bound state energies. We show that using only the molecular states correlating with the $^1S_0$$+$$

Cd2SnO4 exhibits excellent thermoelectric properties with a high Seebeck coefficient, power factor, and figure of merit, surpassing Bi2Te3. It shows both positive and negative Seebeck coefficient values, making it suitable for diverse applications. Its high electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity enhance efficiency, while its negative Hall

Spectroscopy of $^{87}\text{Sr}$ triplet Rydberg states
A combined experimental and theoretical spectroscopic study of high-$n$, ${30 \lesssim n \lesssim 100}$, triplet $\text{S}$ and $\text{D}$ Rydberg states in $^{87}\text{Sr}$ is presented. $^{87}\text{Sr}$ has a large nuclear spin, ${I=9/2}$, and at high-$

Ecology of common bully (Gobiomorphus cotidianus) in the Tarawera and Rangitaiki rivers: isolation by inland distance or anthropogenic discharge? [PDF]
Previous research has identified distinct genetic, life-history and reproductive differences between populations of common bully (Gobiomorphus cotidianus) upstream and downstream of a pulp and paper mill outfall on the Tarawera River in the Bay of Plenty,

Photocatalytic Degradation of PFOA with Porous Lanthanoid Perovskites Nano Catalyst
Photocatalytic degradation of PFOA was studied using nickel‐ and lanthanide‐doped perovskites under UV–VIS irradiation. Catalyst characterization confirmed successful doping, with Ni/NdMnO3 showing the highest photocatalytic efficiency. Degradation occurred via C–C bond cleavage, forming transformation products PFHpA and PFHxA.
