A pilot bioavailable strontium isotope baseline map of Southern British Columbia, Canada

open access: yesFACETS
Strontium isotopes are used for provenience and mobility studies in archaeology, ecology, and forensic studies, and rely on accurate baseline maps that are used to compare and interpret human and animal strontium ratios.

Strontium isotope stratigraphy of the Cretaceous

open access: yesGeological Society, London, Special Publications
Abstract This contribution outlines the methodology of strontium isotope stratigraphy, and reviews the information that underpins the calibration curve of marine- 87 Sr/ 86 Sr against time for the Cretaceous.

Advances and Outlook of Nickel‐Based MOFs–LDHs Materials for Energy Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
In this graphical abstract, we present the pivotal gap between the activity and stability parameters as far as intergrated Ni‐based MOF/LDF electrocatalysts are concerned. For large scale application, these two parameters should be optimized and furthermore balanced in order to promote sustainable electrocatalytic hydrogen production.

Heterogenous Late Holocene Climate in the Eastern Mediterranean—The Kocain Cave Record From SW Turkey

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2021
Palaeoclimate variability must be constrained to predict the nature and impacts of future climate change in the Eastern Mediterranean. Here, we present a late Holocene high‐resolution multiproxy data set from Kocain Cave, the first of its kind from SW ...

Strontium isotopic anomalies in the Allende Meteorite [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1978
We report Sr isotope anomalies in two Ca‐Al‐rich inclusions (EK1‐4‐1 and Cl) of the Allende meteorite which also contain anomalies in O, Mg, Ca, Ba, Nd and Sm. The Sr effects correspond to 84Sr or 88Sr deficits of 3.2‰ and 0.8‰ or to 86Sr excesses of 1.6‰ and 0.4‰. Although it cannot be ascertained in which isotope the anomalies reside, arguments based

Spectroscopic determination of the s-wave scattering lengths of 86Sr and 88Sr [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We report the use of photoassociative spectroscopy to determine the ground state s-wave scattering lengths for the main bosonic isotopes of strontium, 86Sr and 88Sr.

Facile Synthesis of Nanolayered Manganese Oxide for the Efficient and Selective Removal of Strontium(II) from Nuclear Wastewater

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel nanolayered manganese oxide material (Na‐NLMO) is prepared using a rapid and straightforward method for efficient adsorption of Sr(II) in both simulated waste liquid and natural water systems. Its excellent adsorption performance of Na‐NLMO could be attributed to the accessible layered structure and negatively charged framework.

Using oxygen isotope analysis and a multi-isotopic approach in determining the region of origin of human remains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Multi-isotopic approaches have been used effectively to help provide estimated geographic origins for unidentified skeletal remains in cold case homicides and archaeological contexts, when DNA testing was not practical.

Reservoir spectroscopy of 5s5p $^3$P$_2$ - 5s$n$d $^3$D$_{1,2,3}$ transitions in strontium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We perform spectroscopy on the optical dipole transitions 5s5p $^3$P$_2$ - 5s$n$d $^3$D$_{1,2,3}$, $n \in (5,6)$, for all stable isotopes of atomic strontium.

Surface Tailoring on Atomically Precise Gold Nanocluster for Aggregation‐Induced Emission and Bioimaging Application

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A new Au18 nanocluster with aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) was synthesized through a strategy of specific‐site “surgery,” which shows a dual‐emission at 645 and 810 nm in the aggregate state. The AIE photophysical behavior and PL mechanism were systematically investigated by experimental and theoretical results.
