Regulation of phospholipase C isozymes
Progress in Growth Factor Research, 1992Phosphatidylinositol bisphosphate hydrolysis is an immediate response to many hormones, including growth factors. The hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol bisphosphate is catalyzed by phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C. A number of phospholipase C isozymes have been identified.

Isozymes of Alcohol Dehydrogenases
1980Thirty amino acid substitutions are known in eight sets of isozymes or mutants of alcohol dehydrogenases. The replacements are at different positions in the subunits and affect many regions of the protein chains, which is consistent with the variability in properties of isozyme pairs.

Lactate dehydrogenase isozymes in the genus Xenopus: Analyses of complex isozyme patterns
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 19831. Previous work showed that seven out of 13 Xenopus species and subspecies possess a simple pattern of 5 LDH isozymes as it is common to most vertebrates. 2. The remaining six species with more complicated patterns are further analyzed in the present paper. 3. X. l. laevis, X. vestitus and X.

Isozymes: Methods and Applications *
2017This chapter discusses some major applications of isozyme analysis in basic and applied plant pathology. The technique is particularly useful with fungi; the greatest advances have been mostly with fungal pathogens. Isozyme banding patterns obtained from fungi are usually relatively uncomplicated and easy to interpret.

Arachidonate 12-Lipoxygenase Isozymes
1999A lipoxygenase is an enzyme which incorporates one molecule of oxygen into arachidonic acid or other polyunsaturated fatty acids producing hydroperoxy acids with a conjugated diene system. Enzymes oxygenating at the positions 5, 8, 12 and 15 of arachidonic acid and producing the corresponding hydroperoxy eicosatetraenoic acid (HpETE) have been isolated
