Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Genetic Variant is Associated with In-Stent Restenosis after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

open access: yesJournal of Tehran University Heart Center, 2022
Background: In-stent restenosis (ISR) is an inevitable complication of percutaneous coronary intervention, with genetic factors thought to play a role in its pathogenesis. The VEGF gene can have an inhibitory effect on ISR development.

Introduction to Coastal HF Maritime Surveillance Radars

open access: yesPolish Maritime Research, 2019
This paper presents the main technical characteristics and working performances of coastal maritime surveillance radars, such as low-power High-Frequency Surface Wave Radars (HFSWR) and Over the Horizon Radars (OTHR). These radars have demonstrated to be

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

The role of lipid metabolism in neuronal senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Disrupted lipid metabolism, through alterations in lipid species or lipid droplet accumulation, can drive neuronal senescence. However, lipid dyshomeostasis can also occur alongside neuronal senescence, further amplifying tissue damage. Delineating how lipid‐induced senescence emerges in neurons and glial cells, and how it contributes to ageing and ...

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

A Distributed Algorithm for Real-Time Multi-Drone Collision-Free Trajectory Replanning

open access: yesSensors, 2022
In this paper, we present a distributed algorithm to generate collision-free trajectories for a group of quadrotors flying through a common workspace. In the setup adopted, each vehicle replans its trajectory, in a receding horizon manner, by solving a ...
