Using velocity recordings to predict squat repetitions to failure in high‐level wrestlers

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 24, Issue 3, Page 364-371, March 2024.
Abstract The aim of this study was to assess whether lifting velocity (MV) can provide accurate estimations of the maximum number of repetitions that can be performed to failure (RTF) during the parallel back‐squat exercise performed in a Smith machine.

Non-commutative geometry and irreversibility [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
A kinetics built upon $q$-calculus, the calculus of discrete dilatations, is shown to describe diffusion on a hierarchical lattice. The only observable on this ultrametric space is the "quasi-position" whose eigenvalues are the levels of the hierarchy, corresponding to the volume ofphase space available to the system at any given time. Motion along the

Parental attachment and childhood trauma in adolescents engaged in non‐suicidal self‐injury

open access: yesEarly Intervention in Psychiatry, Volume 18, Issue 3, Page 173-180, March 2024.
Abstract Aim In this study, it was aimed to compare parental attachment and childhood traumas in adolescents with NSSI with healthy peers. Methods Fifty adolescents aged 14–18 years with lifetime NSSI and 56 healthy peers were included in the study. Fabrication and characterisation of Pickering emulsion‐based oleogel stabilised by citrus fibre and whey protein isolate colloidal complex: application in cookie formulation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Food Science &Technology, Volume 59, Issue 3, Page 1709-1723, March 2024.
Shear thinning rheological behaviour was observed in all emulsion and oleogel samples. Solid‐like behaviour dominated in all emulsion and oleogel samples. All oleogel samples had a higher than 90% oil‐holding capacity Summary In this study, the oleogel was produced by Pickering emulsion‐based method by using citrus fibre (CF)‐whey protein isolate (WPI)

C++ Codes of Implicit Lu Algorithms for Absdll01 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
This report is devoted to some C++ codes implementing the implicit LU class algorithms for solving linear determined, and undetermined systems with $n$ variables and $m$ equations. A main program used in part of the numerical test is given in the last section.

Developing a surface acoustic wave‐induced microfluidic cell lysis device for point‐of‐care DNA amplification

open access: yesEngineering in Life Sciences, Volume 24, Issue 1, January 2024.
Abstract We developed a microchip device using surface acoustic waves (SAW) and sharp‐edge glass microparticles to rapidly lyse low‐level cell samples. This microchip features a 13‐finger pair interdigital transducer (IDT) with a 30‐degree focused angle, creating high‐intensity acoustic beams converging 6 mm away at a 16 MHz frequency.
