Fully Bio‐Based Gelatin Organohydrogels via Enzymatic Crosslinking for Sustainable Soft Strain and Temperature Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Enzymatically crosslinked gelatin‐based organohydrogels, fabricated through a fully bio‐based and scalable process, exhibit exceptional strain and temperature sensing capabilities with minimal interference from environmental humidity. These transparent, stretchable, and ionically conductive materials operate without synthetic fillers or dopants.

Electrochemically Driven Dissipative Growth of Affinity Hydrogels for Bioresponsive Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Voltage pulses drive the growth and reinforcement of hydrogel films under dissipative conditions. This biocompatible strategy enables efficient integration of affinity ligands into the hydrogel matrix, enhancing the selective capture of growth factors and allowing precise temporal control over their release, making them well‐suited as adaptive ...

Observation of Relativistic Domain Wall Motion in Amorphous Ferrimagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Domain walls in ferrimagnets and antiferromagnets move as relativistic sine‐Gordon solitons, with the spin‐wave velocity setting their speed limit. Such relativistic domain‐wall motion is demonstrated in amorphous GdFeCo near angular momentum compensation, where current‐driven walls reach 90% of the 2 kms−1 spin‐wave speed, enabling ultrafast, device ...

What is Italian Cinema? [PDF]

open access: yesCalifornia Italian Studies, 2017
The success of films like the Oscar-winning La grande bellezza (The Great Beauty, Paolo Sorrentino), the family-friendly comedy Sole a catinelle (Buckets of Sunshine, Gennaro Nunziante) and the poetic documentary Sacro GRA (Sacred GRA, Gianfranco Rosi), all released in 2013, confirms the continued and perhaps surprising vitality and variety of Italian ...
