Intermediate Uveitis in a Pediatric Italian Population
Ocular Immunology and Inflammation, 2011To investigate clinical data, outcome, and treatment of intermediate uveitis in children.Retrospective cohort study, including 116 children affected by intermediate uveitis.Sixty-two percent of patients were males. Ocular involvement was bilateral in 84%. Mean age at uveitis onset was 10.3 ± 3.6 years and 12.2 ± 7 years at first visit.

Diamond‐Blackfan anaemia in the Italian population
British Journal of Haematology, 1999Diamond‐Blackfan anaemia (DBA) is a congenital disease characterized by defective erythroid progenitor maturation; 30% of patients have congenital malformations. The link between these malformations and defective erythropoiesis is unclear: a defect in a molecule acting both on embryo development and haemopoiesis has been proposed.

Alkylphenols in adipose tissues of Italian population
Chemosphere, 2011Alkylphenols (APs) and AP ethoxylated compounds (APEs) were screened in human subcutaneous adipose tissue samples from Italy. The samples were collected during bariatric surgery from 16 subjects (three men and 13 women) and a total of seven alkylphenol compounds (APs) was detected.

Pain symptoms in an adolescent Italian population
European Journal of Pediatrics, 1990We have assessed the incidence of four types of self-reported pain symptoms (headache, pain in heart or chest, pain in lower back and muscle soreness) in a randomised sample of 1413 persons from a population of 93481 students aged 14-16 years in the Veneto region of Italy. In males, 26% reported moderate and 1.2% severe pain distress.
