Evolution of the false‐leaf katydids (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Phaneropterinae): Molecular phylogeny and divergence times

open access: yesSystematic Entomology, Volume 51, Issue 3, July‐September 2026.
Phylogenetic and divergence times analyses based on molecular data of five molecular markers recover Phaneropterinae as monophyletic, originating approximately 91.2 million years ago. From 31 analysed tribes, only three were recovered as monophyletic, whereas others showed extensive polyphyly, requiring substantial taxonomic revision.
