Ratio imputation method for handling item-nonresponse in Eichhorn model

Model Assisted Statistics and Applications, 2008
Missing data is often a problem in social science data. Imputation methods fill in the missing responses and lead, under certain conditions, to valid inference. This paper proposes an investigation procedure concerning the Eichhorn and Hayre [6]'s quantitative sensitive characteristic randomized response procedure in the presence of missing data.

Tests of Certain Types of Ignorable Nonresponse in Surveys Subject to Item Nonresponse or Attrition

American Journal of Political Science, 2000
Analysts of cross-sectional or panel surveys often base inferences about relationships between variables on complete units, excluding units that are incomplete due to item nonresponse or attrition. This practice is justiable if exclusion is ignorable in an appropriate sense.

ITEM NONRESPONSE REASONS AND EFFECTS

2010
ABSTRACTIn survey researches a distinction between two major types of missing data in surveys due to nonresponse had been made. First type is, unit nonresponse; for some sample units no entire data is available. The second type is, item nonresponse; sample unit or units have missing data for one or more questions or variables (1, 2, 3).

A two-stage imputation procedure for item nonresponse in surveys

Journal of Business Research, 1991
Abstract Regardless of the overall response rate, surveys that involve individual self-reports frequently have some degree of item nonresponse. Rather than discard these individuals from any analysis that is to be conducted and reduce the sample size, the typical procedure used by researchers is to simply substitute the mean value computed from all ...

Treating test-item nonresponse.

Journal of applied measurement, 2004
This study presents the results of an empirical investigation into the effects of nonresponse on the measurement of student ability in large scale educational achievement studies. The analyses explored the bias in student and national ability estimate distributions relating to particular psychometric treatments of nonresponse.
