Iterated filtering

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 2011
Inference for partially observed Markov process models has been a longstanding methodological challenge with many scientific and engineering applications. Iterated filtering algorithms maximize the likelihood function for partially observed Markov process models by solving a recursive sequence of filtering problems.

Predictive Modeling of Activated Tungsten Inert Gas Welding in Grade 91 Steel Using Finite Element Method and Experimental Techniques

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
This study analyzes the thermal and mechanical behavior of activated tungsten inert gas welding on 4 mm‐thick Grade 91 steel, widely used in high‐temperature applications. Using a combined heat source model, the research predicts weld distortion and residual stress, validated through experiments.

Optimisation of deep neural network model using Reptile meta learning approach

open access: yesCognitive Computation and Systems, Volume 7, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Abstract The artificial intelligence (AI) within the last decade has experienced a rapid development and has attained power to simulate human‐thinking in various situations. When the deep neural networks (DNNs) are trained with huge dataset and high computational resources it can bring out great outcomes.

AN ITERATIVE APPROACH FOR THE CORRECTION OF ITERATIVE ERRORS [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
Abstract : The errors most likely to occur in a high-speed multiplier are called the iterative errors. An arithmetic coding technique for correction of such error patterns is proposed. A class of codes is presented and its error correcting ability is shown. The unique feature of this code is an iterative decoding method.

On Iterated Interpolation

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 2022
Matrices resulting from the discretization of a kernel function, e.g., in the context of integral equations or sampling probability distributions, can frequently be approximated by interpolation. In order to improve the efficiency, a multi-level approach can be employed that involves interpolating the kernel function and its approximations multiple ...

Towards Continuous‐Time Safe Energy Management in Shared Renewables and Refined Oil Transmission Systems

open access: yesEnergy Internet, EarlyView.
Continuous‐time energy management model is proposed for the emerging shared renewables and refined oil transmission systems to realise safe operation. The corresponding physics‐informed particle swarm optimisation algorithm is tailored and adapted to solving the model, achieving superior performance in stability and optimality.

Enhanced trust management for building trustworthy social internet of things network

open access: yesIET Networks, EarlyView.
IoT devices may need to connect to unknown devices to realise ubiquitous computing in the 5G network and beyond. In such a situation, devices need to evaluate the trustworthiness of the other devices. A trust‐building model using a social network of IoT devices is discussed.

BlendSim: Simulation on Parametric Blendshapes using Spacetime Projective Dynamics

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We propose BlendSim, a novel framework for editable simulation using spacetime optimization on the lightweight animation representation. Traditional spacetime control methods suffer from a high computational complexity, which limits their use in interactive animation.
