Differential functional von Foerster equations with renewal

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2008
Natural iterative methods converge to the exact solution of a differential-functional von Foerster-type equation which describes a single population dependent on its past time and state densities as well as on its total size.

Robust iterative methods for linear systems with saddle point structure [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We propose a new class of multi-layer iterative schemes for solving sparse linear systems in saddle point structure. The new scheme consist of an iterative preconditioner that is based on the (approximate) nullspace method, combined with an iterative least squares approach and an iterative projection method.

Note: interpreting iterative methods convergence with diffusion point of view [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
In this paper, we explain the convergence speed of different iteration schemes with the fluid diffusion view when solving a linear fixed point problem. This interpretation allows one to better understand why power iteration or Jacobi iteration may converge faster or slower than Gauss-Seidel iteration.

Design and validation of a novel dosimetry phantom for motion management audits

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background We present a novel phantom design for conducting end‐to‐end dosimetry audits for respiratory motion management of two anatomical treatment sites. The design enables radiochromic film measurements of the dose administered to the target throughout the respiratory cycle (motion‐included) and the dose delivered to the time‐averaged ...

Multiple zeta values and iterated log-sine integrals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
We introduce an iterated integral version of (generalized) log-sine integrals (iterated log-sine integrals) and prove a relation between a multiple polylogarithm and iterated log-sine integrals. We also give a new method for obtaining relations among multiple zeta values, which uses iterated log-sine integrals, and give alternative proofs of several ...

Novel CT radiomics models for the postoperative prediction of early recurrence of resectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma: A single‐center retrospective study in China

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To assess the predictive capability of CT radiomics features for early recurrence (ER) of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Methods Postoperative PDAC patients were retrospectively selected, all of whom had undergone preoperative CT imaging and surgery. Both patients with resectable or borderline‐resectable pancreatic cancer met

The GPBiCOR Method for Solving the General Matrix Equation and the General Discrete-Time Periodic Matrix Equations

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper is concerned with the numerical solutions of the general matrix equation $\sum ^{p}_{i=1}{\sum ^{s_{i}}_{j=1} }\,\,{A_{ij}X_{i}}{B_{ij}} = C$ , and the general discrete-time periodic matrix equations $\sum ^{p}_{i=1}\sum ^{s_{i}}_{j=1} (A_{i,
