The inexact residual iteration method for quadratic eigenvalue problem and the analysis of convergence [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
In this paper, we first establish the convergence criteria of the residual iteration method for solving quadratic eigenvalue problem- s. We analyze the impact of shift point and the subspace expansion on the convergence of this method. In the process of expanding subspace, this method needs to solve a linear system at every step.

Implementation of needle‐tracking technology for real‐time transrectal ultrasound‐guided interstitial gynecological HDR brachytherapy: A feasibility study

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To investigate the feasibility of adapting a commercial prostate biopsy system for transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)‐guided hybrid gynecological (GYN) high‐dose‐rate (HDR) brachytherapy (BT). Leveraging 3D‐TRUS and MR image fusion, the prototype system aims to improve real‐time needle placement accuracy.

A Picard-S Iterative Scheme for Approximating Fixed Point of Weak-Contraction Mappings [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We study the convergence analysis of a Picard-S iteration method for a particular class of weak-contraction mappings. Furthermore, we prove a data dependence result for fixed point of the class of weak-contraction mappings with the help of the Picard-S iteration methods.

An investigation into the feasibility and efficacy of stereotactic radiosurgery for 1–3 cm single brain lesions on the ring‐mounted Halcyon LINAC

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose An evaluation of the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of the Halcyon ring delivery system (RDS) for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment to relatively small (1–3 cm) brain lesions. Methods After completing the extensive in‐house quality assurance checks including Winston–Lutz test and independent dose verification via MD Anderson ...

Convergence of Iterative Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Many convex optimization problems can be reduced to finding a fixed point of a nonexpansive (or a more general operator) \(U : \mathcal{H}\rightarrow \mathcal{H}\). Iterative methods for solving these problems have the form of a recurrence \({x}^{k+1} = {U}_{k}{x}^{k}\), \(k \geq 0\), where \({x}^{0} \in \mathcal{H}\) is arbitrary, \(\{{U{}_{k}\}}_{k=0}

A new iterated Tikhonov regularization method for Fredholm integral equation of first kind [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We consider Fredholm integral equation of the first kind, present an efficient new iterated Tikhonov method to solve it. The new Tikhonov iteration method has been proved which can achieve the optimal order under a-priori assumption. In numerical experiments, the new iterated Tikhonov regularization method is compared with the classical iterated ...
