Discrete and Continuous-time Soft-Thresholding with Dynamic Inputs
There exist many well-established techniques to recover sparse signals from compressed measurements with known performance guarantees in the static case.

To dissect how mechanical forces influence intestinal physiology, we developed a stretchable 3D colon‐on‐chip that integrates tunable topography, stiffness and peristalsis‐like motion within a physiologically relevant microenvironment. We showed that stretching is a dominant factor governing epithelial behavior, markedly enhancing proliferation and ...

Enhanced Endoscopic Internal Drainage of Gastric Abscess Through Additively Manufactured Stents
Postoperative gastric leaks are often treated with off‐label biliary double‐pigtail stents, yet conventional extruded designs are not optimized for leak anatomy, can migrate, and may limit abscess evacuation. PETALS is introduced to optimize transmural drainage geometry and enable patient‐specific 3D‐printable stents.

We consider the task of computing an approximate minimizer of the sum of a smooth and non-smooth convex functional, respectively, in Banach space. Motivated by the classical forward-backward splitting method for the subgradients in Hilbert space, we ...

A human microfluidic blood‐brain barrier (mBBB) model enables spatially resolved comparison of nanoparticle trafficking. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), liposomes, and nanoplastics exhibit distinct transport and disruption behaviors, revealing that membrane composition and uptake pathways govern BBB interaction.

A Radio-interferometric Imaging Method Based on the Wavelet Tight Frame
Reconstructing the signal from measured visibilities in radio interferometry is an ill-posed inverse problem. In this paper, we present a novel radio-interferometric imaging method based on the wavelet tight frame aimed at efficiently obtaining an ...

Compressive SAR Imaging Based on Modified Low-Rank and Sparse Decomposition
In this paper, we propose a novel imaging method for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems with compressive sensing (CS) by modifying the existing low-rank and sparse decomposition (LRSD) scheme.

The Vese-Chan model without redundant parameter estimation for multiphase image segmentation
The Vese-Chan model for multiphase image segmentation uses m binary label functions to construct 2 m characteristic functions for different phases/regions systematically; the terms in this model have moderate degrees comparing with other schemes of ...

Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...
