Flooding attacks to internet threat monitors (ITM): Modeling and counter measures using botnet and honeypots

open access: yes, 2012
The Internet Threat Monitoring (ITM),is a globally scoped Internet monitoring system whose goal is to measure, detect, characterize, and track threats such as distribute denial of service(DDoS) attacks and worms.

Nonparametric estimates of pricing functionals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We analyze the empirical performance of several non-parametric estimators of the pricing functional for European options, using historical put and call prices on the S&P500 during the year 2012. Two main families of estimators are considered, obtained by

Comparison between intrathecal morphine and intravenous patient control analgesia for pain control after video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery: A pilot randomized controlled study.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2022
BackgroundVideo-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) is a minimally invasive procedure, but patients may still experience intense pain, especially during the early postoperative period. Intrathecal morphine (ITM) is an effective pain control method that

The Gauss map on a class of interval translation mappings

open access: yes, 2002
We study the dynamics of a class of interval translation map on three intervals. We show that in this class the typical ITM is of finite type (reduce to an interval exchange transformation) and that the complement contains a Cantor set.

Multimodal intrathecal analgesia (MITA) with morphine for reducing postoperative opioid use and acute pain following hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery: A multicenter retrospective study.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2023
IntroductionThe optimal analgesic modality for patients undergoing hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery remains unknown. The analgesic effects of a multimodal intrathecal analgesia (MITA) technique of intrathecal morphine (ITM) in combination with ...

Prediction of Structural Stability of Layered Oxide Cathode Materials: Combination of Machine Learning and Ab Initio Thermodynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, we developed a phase‐stability predictor by combining machine learning and ab initio thermodynamics approaches, and identified the key factors determining the favorable phase for a given composition. Specifically, a lower TM ionic potential, higher Na content, and higher mixing entropy favor the O3 phase.

Thoracic epidural anaesthesia vs intrathecal morphine in dogs undergoing major thoracic and abdominal surgery: clinical study

open access: yesBMC Veterinary Research, 2022
Background There is scant clinical research on neuraxial analgesia in dogs undergoing major surgery. With this study we compared the perioperative analgesic effects of thoracic epidural anaesthesia (TEA) and intrathecal morphine (ITM) in dogs scheduled ...
