Improvement of Engineering Properties of Asphalt Binder and Mixture by Using SBS Additive Material
Rutting, thermal cracking, and stripping are among the most severe distress types in asphalt pavement. In this study, a specified type of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) was used as a modifier for a low viscosity asphalt binder G80/100 (PG 58-22) to ...

Isolation and characterization of Streptomyces spp. from potato and peanut in Israel
This study on Streptomyces population in Israel indicates that Streptomyces species, in particular S. europaeiscabiei, were introduced to Israel through potato seed tubers imported from Europe. Abstract Potato common scab (CS) and peanut pod wart diseases cause substantial economic losses every year in Israel.

Pest categorisation of Coleosporium phellodendri
Abstract The EFSA Plant Health Panel performed a pest categorisation of Coleosporium phellodendri Kom., a basidiomycete fungus belonging to the order Pucciniales, causing rust diseases on Pinus spp. (aecial host) and on Phellodendron spp. (telial host). C. phellodendri has been reported only from Asia (namely, China, Republic of Korea, Japan and Russia)

Phylogeny and biogeography of the hollies (Ilex L., Aquifoliaceae)
Abstract The holly genus, Ilex L., in the monogeneric Aquifoliaceae, is the largest woody dioecious genus (>664 spp.), with a near‐cosmopolitan distribution in mesic environments. We constructed a phylogeny based on two nuclear genes, representing 177 species spread across the geographical range, and dated using macrofossil records.

As the main economic crop cultivated in the Yellow River Delta, winter jujube contains various nutrients. However, soil salinization and fungal diseases have affected the yield and quality of winter jujube. In order to use plant growth‐promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to reduce these damages, the antagonistic bacteria CZ‐6 isolated from the rhizosphere ...

Variations in ribosomal DNA copy numbers in a genome of Trichophyton interdigitale
Summary Background Ribosomal DNA (rDNA) reportedly has multiple copies in the fungal genome. The internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region in rDNA is useful for investigating relationships between close taxonomic relatives. Thus, ITS has been widely used as a target gene in medical mycology for the detection of pathogenic fungi and identification of ...
