A list of 37 species in 16 families of aquatic plants was prepared based on a field trip to Kunashir and Iturup Islands in 2012. Comparative characteristics for producers of pink salmon Oncorhynchus gorbuschain the basin of Lake Sopochnoe

Pink salmon spawners in the channel connecting Lake Sopochnoe (Iturup Island) with the sea are investigated. The samples were collected in July-August, 2016. The males dominated significantly during entire spawning run.
