Recursive partitioning and Gaussian Process Regression for the detection and localization of damages in pultruded Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer material

open access: yesStructural Control and Health Monitoring, Volume 28, Issue 10, October 2021., 2021
Summary In this paper, a methodology for the detection and localization of damages in composite pultruded members is proposed. This is particularly relevant to thin‐walled pultruded members, which are typically characterized by orthotropic behavior, anisotropic along the fibers and isotropic in the cross section.

Refined Rigid Block Model for In‐Plane Loaded Masonry

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
In this work, a refined rigid block model is proposed for studying the in‐plane behavior of regular masonry. The rigid block model is based on an existing discrete/rigid model with rigid blocks and elastoplastic interfaces that already proven its effectiveness in representing masonry behavior in linear and nonlinear fields.
