Metabolomic Analysis Reveals Structural Diversity of Pectic Polysaccharides From Prunus persica (L.) Batsch and Their Relationship With Purees Characteristics

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To clarify how pectin heterogeneity relates to puree quality, this study investigated associations among pectin fractions, metabolite profiles, and physicochemical properties of peach purees from 20 cultivars with distinct viscosity, turbidity, and colour.

Powerful representation of the poor? German welfare associations' narrative advocacy during COVID‐19

open access: yesPolicy Studies Journal, Volume 54, Issue 3, August 2026.
Abstract The COVID‐19 pandemic sparked unprecedented experimentation in the German social assistance system, leading to changes previously considered impracticable by policymakers. This included a sanctions moratorium, easier access to benefits, and temporary cash transfers, all of which were advocated by welfare associations—key organized interests ...

Transient Creep on the Yarlung Zangbo Suture in Southern Tibet Triggered by the 2015 Gorkha (Nepal) Earthquake

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 13, 16 July 2026.
Abstract Large earthquakes often elevate seismicity in surrounding regions, as seen on the Xainza‐Dinggyê rift in southern Tibet after the 2015 MW 7.8 Gorkha (Nepal) earthquake. In contrast, the EW‐trending Yarlung Zangbo suture (YZS), located directly north of this event, exhibits seismic quiescence.

A Deep Learning Framework for Forecasting Medium‐Term Covariance in Multiasset Portfolios

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, Volume 45, Issue 4, Page 1797-1828, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Forecasting the covariance matrix of asset returns is central to portfolio construction, risk management, and asset pricing. However, most existing models struggle at medium‐term horizons, several weeks to months, where shifting market regimes and slower dynamics prevail.

Evolution of Sulfur Concentration in the Deep Earth During the Proto‐Earth Growth: First‐Principles Study on the Sulfur Partitioning Between Metal and Silicate at High Pressure and Temperature

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Sulfur (S) is one of the promising light elements that can explain the density deficit of the core. The degree of siderophile nature of S under high pressure and temperature (P,T) is the key to estimating the S content in the core. However, a significant discrepancy between the metal‐silicate partition coefficient of S extrapolated from ...
