Bu çalışmada, İzmir il merkezinde yer alan 14 minber incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Minberlerin 8’i mermer, 6’sı ise ahşaptır. Mermer minberler anıtsal camilerde, ahşap minberler ise, daha küçük boyutlu cami ve mescitlerde görülmektedir. Bugünkü görünümlerini 18-19. yüzyıllarda aldığı bilinen İzmir camileri, 16-20.
