ABSTRACT Human genetic engineering has the potential to profoundly alter the traits of future generations, raising critical ethical questions about authenticity and identity. Essentialist perspectives reject genetic engineering, claiming it inherently compromises authenticity by deviating from a species‐typical genome.

ABSTRACT Genome editing in human embryos could raise new ethical issues by changing future people's narrative and numerical identity. I argue that Rosa's resonance theory is multi‐pronged and covers at least three interconnected levels.

Progress, Objectivism, and Philosophy of History: the Problem of Progress in Critical Theory
Abstract In this paper, I evaluate Rahel Jaeggi's theory of progress as outlined in her recent book Fortschritt und Regression.
