ABCA12 Frameshift Deletion in Domestic Cats With Ichthyosis Fetalis

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ichthyosis fetalis (IF), also known as harlequin ichthyosis, is a rare and often fatal autosomal recessive congenital skin disorder. It is characterized by thickened, hard skin plaques and deep skin fissures that limit mobility and cause malformations of the eyes, lips and ears.

Association of ABO blood group with respiratory disease hospitalization and severe outcomes: a retrospective cohort study in blood donors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Infectious Diseases, 2022
Objectives: Environmental, socioeconomic, and genetic factors all are associated with respiratory diseases. We aimed to investigate the association between the ABO blood group and the susceptibility to respiratory diseases.

Optimizing Large‐Scale Mathematical Assessments: Leveraging Hierarchical Attribute Structures and Diagnostic Classification Models for Enhanced Student Diagnostics

open access: yesEducational Measurement: Issues and Practice, Volume 45, Issue 2, Summer 2026.
Abstract Diagnostic classification models (DCMs) assess students’ mastery of cognitive attributes to provide personalized ability profiles. Retrofitting DCMs to large‐scale mathematics assessments usually relies on inferred Q‐matrices, which can reduce accuracy and diagnostic value.

Evaluating the accuracy of the EcoservR toolkit for fine‐resolution habitat mapping

open access: yesEcological Solutions and Evidence, Volume 7, Issue 2, April/June 2026.
Accurate habitat maps are essential for monitoring ecological change and supporting nature recovery planning. We evaluate the EcoservR rule‐based habitat mapping toolkit using field survey data from Merseyside and the North York Moors, validating classifications across the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) Phase 1 hierarchy.

Reculer Pour Mieux Sauter: A Review of Attachment and Other Developmental Processes Inherent in Identified Risk Factors for Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Offending

open access: yesLaws, 2014
The task of this paper is to identify the causes of juvenile delinquency and juvenile offending. The French proverb chosen for its title (Step back in order to jump better) reflects the inherent challenge in this task; that is, how far back must we step ...

An Archaeometallurgical Investigation on Some Archaeological Metal Finds From the Sasanian Site of Jahāngir, Western Iran

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue S1, Page S103-S115, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Twelve metal artifacts from recent excavations at the Sasanian archaeological site of Jahāngir in western Iran have been analyzed. These items include both decorative and utilitarian artifacts. The samples were examined using micro‐X‐ray fluorescence (μ‐XRF), scanning electron microscopy with energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (SEM‐EDS), and

Fermentable sugars production from lignocellulosic materials hydrolysis by thermophilic enzymes from Bacillus subtilis J12

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2017
Abstract Hot spring water and soil samples collected from various locations in Thailand were screened as thermophilic lignocellulase producers. Isolate J12, which showed the highest carboxymethylcellulase (CMCase) activity was selected for further enzymatic characterization. The isolate J12 exhibited both CMCase and xylanase acitvities.

The Quantum Group Structure of 2D Gravity and Minimal Models II: The Genus-Zero Chiral Bootstrap

open access: yes, 1993
The F and B matrices associated with Virasoro null vectors are derived in closed form by making use of the operator-approach suggested by the Liouville theory, where the quantum-group symmetry is explicit.

Semiclassical Mechanics of the Wigner 6j-Symbol [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The semiclassical mechanics of the Wigner 6j-symbol is examined from the standpoint of WKB theory for multidimensional, integrable systems, to explore the geometrical issues surrounding the Ponzano-Regge formula.

Genomic Signatures of Microgeographic Adaptation in Anopheles coluzzii Across Urban, Rural, and Forested Environments in Gabon

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 35, Issue 8, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Species distributed across heterogeneous environments often evolve locally adapted populations, but understanding how these persist in the presence of homogenizing gene flow remains puzzling. In Gabon, Anopheles coluzzii, a major African malaria mosquito, is found in various ecological settings, including urban areas, remote rural villages ...
