Purification, characterization and thermostability of lipase from a thermophilic Bacillus sp. J33
Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 2000A thermostable lipase produced by a thermophilic Bacillus sp. J33 was purified to 175-fold with 15.6% recovery by ammonium sulphate and Phenyl Sepharose column chromatography. The enzyme is a monomeric protein having molecular weight of 45 kDa. It hydrolyzes triolein at all positions. The fatty acid specificity of lipase is broad with little preference

Background In Huntington’s disease (HD) 50–70% of the variation in age of onset has been attributed to the disease causing CAG repeat with the rest being due to other genetic and environmental factors. Age of motor onset (AMO) of symptoms is widely used in clinical practice and in analyses of potential genetic modifiers of disease but is difficult to ...

A temperature-survey in the secondary air mixing zone of the burner of a J33-A-17 turbo jet engine.
2012This investigation was conducted to obtain information on the mixing and mixing rates of the secondary air with the gases of combustion in a jet engine burner. For this purpose a J33-A-17 Turbo Jet Engine, can type, burner was utilized. it was found, for the range of fuel-air ratios investigated, .009 and .012, that mixing was accomplished in a fairly ...
