Structured sorbents for Direct Air Capture: The impact of materials and chemicals on performance

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract Structured sorbents can efficiently process large air volumes required for Direct Air Capture (DAC), but their broad implementation is limited by challenges in producing reproducible and homogeneous materials. This work presents a robust procedure to graft amines onto monolithic sorbents and systematically investigates how CO2 capture ...

The Effect of Construal Level on Mental Accounting: Abstract (vs. Concrete) Construal Reduces the Mental Labeling Effect

open access: yesJournal of Behavioral Decision Making, Volume 39, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Mental accounting research exhibits how consumers' marketplace behaviors deviate from those predicted by the Standard Economic Theory. For example, research shows how money loses fungibility when people assign mental labels to their currency and make purchases consistent with such labels. Although the applications of mental accounting are well

Integrated Experimental, Chemometric, and In Silico Analyses of Larvicidal Supercritical Extracts From Myrtaceae Species Against Aedes aegypti

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
The cross‐validated regression tree showed modest predictive performance. Mortality was not significantly associated with the first two PCA axes. Molecular modeling generated testable ligand–target hypotheses. Psidium cattleianum had lower LD50. The larvicidal activity of the crude extracts could not be attributed to individual constituents.

Structural Transformation of Fe3O3PO4 Nanoparticles During ON/OFF Operation for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 19, 1 October 2026.
Among approximately 50 types of nanoparticles, Fe3O3PO4 exhibited the lowest potential (1.57 ± 0.02 V vs. RHE) at a current density of 0.5 A cm−2. Fe3O3PO4 nanoparticles showed high durability for ON/OFF durability tests simulating system startup and shutdown.

Antisolvent crystallization of lithium hydroxide monohydrate: Significant factors and kinetics analysis

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 10, Page 5383-5396, October 2026.
Abstract Crystallization is the final stage in lithium hydroxide monohydrate (LiOH · H2O) production, and antisolvent crystallization offers a lower‐energy route compared with evaporative methods. In this study, we investigated bench‐scale ethanol‐based antisolvent crystallization of LiOH · H2O, and identified the significant impact parameter via a ...
