Compassion Focused Therapy to Address Shame and Guilt: A Case Study of a Client With Complex PTSD

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents the case of “Ava” a woman in her late 40s diagnosed with ICD‐11 Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), whose life was shaped by chronic childhood abuse, pervasive shame, and intense self‐criticism. Ava struggled with intrusive trauma memories, relational hypervigilance, fears of compassion, and enduring guilt ...

Comparative Analysis of Building X's Fiber Polymer Composite and Conventional Method Beam Reinforcement Time Performance

open access: yesRekayasa Sipil
Initially, Building X in Jakarta functioned as a typical office building. Reinforcement was necessary because the building's purpose had changed to a bank office, which required a space for archives that necessitated a relatively large storage area.

Effect of ammonium concentration on methane oxidation and CO2 removal in an anaerobic biotrickling filter treating synthetic landfill gas and leachate

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Landfill gas (LFG) and leachate are commonly treated separately through energy‐intensive processes. This study evaluated the integration of both streams in an anaerobic biotrickling filter (BTF) to achieve simultaneous methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) removal coupled with ammonium (NH4+) transformation, and how the microbial ...

Detecting knot invertibility

open access: yes, 1997
We discuss the consequences of the possibility that Vassiliev invariants do not detect knot invertibility as well as the fact that quantum Lie group invariants are known not to do so.

Development of Selective Plane Illumination Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering Spectral Microscopy for Improved Cellular Imaging

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
Selective plane illumination (SPI) is combined with SERS spectral imaging to reduce background, improve image contrast, and enable improved spectroscopy from molecules on the surface of nanoparticles. This approach provides improved imaging and spectroscopy from nanoparticles in complex environments, such as biological cells.
