Abstract In this paper, by using the new Jacobi elliptic function rational expansion method and the exponential rational function method, new exact solutions of the unstable nonlinear Schrodinger equation are obtained. The present methods are very effective and simples and can be applied to other types of nonlinear equations. The results found can be

We generalize the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method used to solve the (3 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation for the case of an arbitrary inverse of an elliptic integral. Among the obtained solutions are functions based on the Weierstrass elliptic function and the inverses of Carlson’s elliptic integrals.

In our paper we modify the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method to obtain solutions to the Davey–Stewartson system of equations. Two categories of nonsingular solutions are obtained for both traveling and solitary waves and both with and without chirp.

Soliton solutions of the AB system via the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method
Optik, 2021Abstract Under investigation in this paper is the AB system, which describes propagations of unstable baroclinic wave packets in geophysical fluids and ultra-short pulses in nonlinear optics. Two finite series of N degree and M degree will be proposed in terms of the extended Jacobi elliptic functions as a set of possible solutions for ...

New Extended Jacobi Elliptic Function Rational Expansion Method and Its Application
Communications in Theoretical Physics, 2006In this paper, an extended Jacobi elliptic function rational expansion method is proposed for constructing new forms of exact Jacobi elliptic function solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations by means of making a more general transformation.
