Stimulated Raman Scattering with Optical Vortex Beams
This study presents exact analytical expressions for stimulated Raman scattering with Laguerre‐Gaussian beams, revealing signal dependence on topological and hyperbolic momentum. The results provide a theoretical foundation for coherent Raman imaging and detecting orbital angular momentum of light via structured light in nonlinear optics.

On spectra of symmetric Jacobi matrices
A square symmetric matrix A is said bisymmetric if AS=SA, whereS is the matrix with ones along the secondary diagonal and zeroselsewhere. We denote by J(a,b) the real symmetric Jacobi matrixwith main diagonala= (a0, a1, . . . , an) and second diagonalb=(b0, b1, . . . , bn-1).

On classical orthogonal polynomials and the Cholesky factorization of a class of Hankel matrices
Classical moment functionals (Hermite, Laguerre, Jacobi, Bessel) can be characterized as those linear functionals whose moments satisfy a second-order linear recurrence relation.

Reinforcement learning for optimal control of stochastic nonlinear systems
Abstract A reinforcement learning (RL) approach is developed in this work for nonlinear systems under stochastic uncertainty. A stochastic control Lyapunov function (SCLF) candidate is first constructed using neural networks (NNs) as an approximator to the value function, and then a control policy designed using this SCLF is developed to ensure the ...

On a spectral property of Jacobi matrices [PDF]
Let J be a Jacobi matrix with elements b k on the main diagonal and elements a k on the auxiliary ones. We suppose that J is a compact perturbation of the free Jacobi matrix. In this case the essential spectrum of J coincides with [-2,2], and its discrete spectrum is a union of two sequences {x ± j},x + j > 2,x - j -∞, ii) Σ 3 (x ± j ∓ 2) 7/2 < ∞

The robust Orlicz risk with an application to the green photovoltaic power generation
Abstract We propose a novel recursive utility for controlling stochastic processes under risk and uncertainty. Our formulation uses a robustified Orlicz risk that can evaluate risk and uncertainty simultaneously. We focus on the control problem of a photovoltaic power generation system that supplies excess electricity for the secondary purpose of ...

ABSTRACT A Late Upper Paleolithic (LUP) site containing Ahrensburgian‐type stone tools has been discovered at South Cuidrach, Isle of Skye, Scotland. Together with a group of intertidal stone circular alignments also recently discovered on the island, this new evidence for the occupation of northern Scotland also represents the most northerly LUP site ...
