Jacobians and rank 1 perturbations relating to unitary Hessenberg matrices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In a recent work Killip and Nenciu gave random recurrences for the characteristic polynomials of certain unitary and real orthogonal upper Hessenberg matrices. The corresponding eigenvalue p.d.f.'s are beta-generalizations of the classical groups.

Factorization of Correlation Functions and the Replica Limit of the Toda Lattice Equation

open access: yes, 2004
Exact microscopic spectral correlation functions are derived by means of the replica limit of the Toda lattice equation. We consider both Hermitian and non-Hermitian theories in the Wigner-Dyson universality class (class A) and in the chiral universality

Material‐Induced Nuclear Deformation Controls Chromatin Architecture in Adipose Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tuning cell and cytoskeleton mechanics modulated nuclear shape and heterochromatin organization in ASCs. Distinct cytoskeletal architectures induced nuclear morphologies from oblate to prolate ellipsoids. Large elongated cells with a structured actin cap exhibited high nuclear strain, driving nuclear envelope deformation and heterochromatin ...

Evolutionary dynamics on a regular networked structured and unstructured multi‐population

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract In this paper, we study collective decision‐making in a multi‐population framework, where groups of individuals represent whole populations that interact by means of a regular network. Each group consists of a number of players and every player can choose between two options.

F-theory with hyperelliptic fibrations

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We discuss the role of hyperelliptic fibrations in F-theory. For each even integer n we give a noncompact Calabi-Yau threefold X containing a hyperelliptically fibered surface Y, such that X and Y are homotopy equivalent and c 2(X) = n.

Unveil Fundamental Graph Properties for Neural Architecture Search

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This paper proposes NASGraph, a graph‐based framework that represents neural architectures as graphs whose structural properties determine performance. By revealing structure–performance relationships, NASGraph enables efficient neural architecture search with significantly reduced computation.

On the multistationarity of chemical reaction networks

open access: yes, 2019
We present a new conjecture about a necessary condition that a (bio)chemical network has to satisfy for it to exhibit multistationarity. According to a Theorem of Feliu and Wiuf [27, 12], the conjecture is known for strictly monotonic kinetics.

Deciphering the Evolution Pattern of Structural Variations Overlapped With Repetitive Sequence During Cattle Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The authors complement bovine pan‐SV with massive novel structural variations (SVs) identified through long‐read sequencing of 83 globally distributed cattle breeds. Repetitive sequence‐mediated SVs (rep‐SV) exhibit distinct dynamic patterns throughout cattle sub‐speciation and/or domestication processes, including uneven distribution between chr‐X and

Power-law Kinetics and Determinant Criteria for the Preclusion of Multistationarity in Networks of Interacting Species

open access: yes, 2013
We present determinant criteria for the preclusion of non-degenerate multiple steady states in networks of interacting species. A network is modeled as a system of ordinary differential equations in which the form of the species formation rate function ...

Soft Robotics and Advanced Technologies for Minimally Invasive Bioprinting: The Future of Internal Organ Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review examines the evolution of bioprinting toward minimally invasive in situ strategies for internal organ regeneration. It defines the technological roadmap from handheld systems to advanced minimally invasive bioprinting platforms, positioning soft robotics as a core enabler.
