Accurately representing land–atmosphere interactions is essential for numerical weather prediction models, as they have a significant effect on forecasted near-surface meteorological parameters.

Unsteady transonic flow using Euler equations [PDF]
An implicit, two factor, split flux, finite volume Euler equations solution algorithms is applied to the time accurate solution of transonic flow about an NACA 0012 airfoil and a rectangular planform supercritical wing undergoing pitch oscillations ...

Extending Broyden's method to interaction problems
The solution of problems involving the interaction of different systems is a domain of ongoing research, although often a good solver already exists for each system separately.

Criptografia usando curvas hiperelípticas
In this work we present some properties of the hyperelliptical curves and their Jacobians, aiming at the implementation of criptossystems of public key.

Full-Gradient Representation for Neural Network Visualization
We introduce a new tool for interpreting neural net responses, namely full-gradients, which decomposes the neural net response into input sensitivity and per-neuron sensitivity components. This is the first proposed representation which satisfies two key

Boundary asymptotics of the relative Bergman kernel metric for hyperelliptic curves
We survey variations of the Bergman kernel and their asymptotic behaviors at degeneration. For a Legendre family of elliptic curves, the curvature form of the relative Bergman kernel metric is equal to the Poincaré metric on ℂ \ {0,1}. The cases of other

Cubic Surfaces and Cubic Threefolds, Jacobians and Intermediate Jacobians
In this paper we study principally polarized complex abelian varieties that admit an automorphism of order 3. It turns out that certain natural conditions on the multiplicities of its action on the differentials of the first kind do guarantee that those polarized varieties are not jacobians of curves.

We study meromorphic jacobian pairs, i.e., pairs of polynomials in one variable, with coefficients meromorphic series in a second variable, whose jacobian relative to the two variables depends only on the second variable. We pose two meromorphic jacobian conjectures about such pairs, one of which is in terms of an invariant of the pair which we call ...
