Bottlenecks‐Breaking in Zinc‐Iodine Batteries Toward Practical Implementation: A Review and Perspective

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
Aqueous zinc–iodine batteries (Zn–I2Bs) offer promise for grid storage due to safety and cost advantages yet face critical bottlenecks: severe self‐discharge (polyiodide shuttling and HER), limited energy density, sluggish kinetics, and zinc anode instability.

An Investigation of Key Symptoms That Account for the Early Response Effect During Psychological Therapy for Eating Disorders

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, Volume 34, Issue 4, Page 1058-1064, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective The early response effect, defined as a reliable symptomatic improvement during the initial phase of treatment, is the most robust predictor of recovery following eating disorder treatment. This study aimed to investigate which symptom domains mostly influence the early response effect. Methods Data from N = 232 adult patients (90.8%

Preliminary Findings on the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment: A Pilot Trial on Its Effectiveness on Anxiety and Depressive Symptoms for Turkish Adults

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Psychology, Volume 82, Issue 7, Page 1043-1051, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The present study investigates the feasibility and initial efficacy of the Unified Protocol (UP) as a pilot trial for anxiety and depressive symptoms in Turkish university students with a pretest‐posttest control group research design. Thirty‐four undergraduate students with high levels of depressive and/or anxiety symptoms were randomly ...

Modeling long‐term population viability to inform recovery of a functionally extinct urban Blanding's turtle population

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 5, July 2026.
We used a population viability analysis to evaluate the influence of headstarting on recovery of the Rouge National Urban Park Blanding's turtle population. Completing the remaining 12 years of the 20‐year headstarting program is projected to approximately double population size relative to no further supplementation.

Bayesian Analysis of Postoperative Complication Risk Associated With Preoperative Exposure to Fine Particulate Matter: A Single‐Center Cohort Study

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 6, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Air pollution, especially particle pollution, is increasingly recognized as a potential perioperative risk factor, yet modeling environmental exposures in surgical cohorts remains methodologically underdeveloped. We demonstrate a Bayesian hierarchical framework to quantify probabilistic associations between preoperative fine ...
