Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

ICE JAM EXPERIMENT AND SIMULATION AROUND BRIDGE PIERS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This study aimed to clarify the phenomenon of ice jams generated around bridge piers. The onedimensional ice jams calculation model was proposed. This model is composed of water flow, ice flow and ice jams.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Oxidative stress and endocrine disruption following exposure to Chlorpyrifos [PDF]

open access: yesCaspian Journal of Health Research
Chlorpyrifos (CPF) is a widely used organophosphate pesticide that has been shown to cause a range of toxic effects, including oxidative stress and endocrine disruption. This review aims to summarize the most recent findings regarding CPF’s toxicological

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

STUDY ON SNOWSTORM-INDUCED INCREASES IN FRAZIL SLUSH AND THE IDENTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL ICE JAM LOCATIONS ON THE OSOBETSU RIVER [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In December 2014, an ice jam occurred on the Osobetsu River after a snowstorm. This study investigated factors that contribute to increases in frazil slush and identified locations prone to ice jams.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Assessing the Effect of Different Water Table Depths on Water Use, Yield and Water Productivity of the Okra Crop

open access: yesMehran University Research Journal of Engineering and Technology, 2018
An experimental study was carried out on a Lysimeter with the aim of partially meeting WRs (Water Requirements) of the Okra crop through SWT (Shallow Water Table) while maintaining the SWT at various levels below the ground surface. Under the study, CWR (
