This work demonstrates the use of reactive laser annealing to selectively tune the epsilon‐near‐zero condition of tin‐doped indium oxide patches integrated in silicon waveguides. This postgrowth annealing technique enables flexible control over the optical constants of transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) at critical telecom wavelengths, paving the way

Statistical Physics of the Jamming Transition: The Search for Simple Models [PDF]
We investigate universal features of the jamming transition in granular materials, colloids and glasses. We show that the jamming transition in these systems has common features: slowing of response to external perturbation, and the onset of structural heterogeneities.

Abstract A chiral Brønsted acid‐catalyzed synthesis of axially chiral alkenes was developed via an enantioselective and para‐selective Friedel–Crafts reaction between phenols and 1‐alkynylnaphth‐2‐ols. This methodology features an efficient hydroarylation with high functional group tolerance, complete para‐selectivity, excellent yields (up to 99%), and

Unveiling City Jam-prints of Urban Traffic based on Jam Patterns [PDF]
We analyze the patterns of traffic jams in urban networks of five large cities and an urban agglomeration region in China using real data based on a recently developed jam tree model. This model focuses on the way traffic jams spread through a network of streets, where the first street that becomes congested represents the bottleneck of the jam.

Cold plasma devices (J‐Plasma, Piezo Brush PZ3, Plasma Care) generate unique reactive species that penetrate tissues differently, enabling biofilm eradication while preserving tissue health. This study uncovers plasma‐device interactions with biofilms and surfaces, highlighting tailored applications for precision medicine and infection control ...

On the Relentless Pursuit of an Oral Insulin Delivery System: How Far is Too Far?
Injectable insulin preparations have far outpaced oral ones by virtue of adequate bioavailability and are driven by innovations, including insulin pumps, real‐time blood glucose monitoring, and artificial intelligence. In contrast, oral insulin delivery systems, including nanomedicines, continue to struggle and lag due to varied reasons.

An embedded bioprinting enabled‐arrayed patient‐derived organoids (Eba‐PDO) platform that replicates intrinsic and extrinsic tumor characteristics is introduced. Eba‐PDOs more accurately mimic tissue than standard PDOs (Std‐PDOs) due to maturation in the tumor microenvironment.

Cooperative Jamming Technique: Proposal, Survey and Future
In the research of physical layer security, cooperative jamming is a special and novel research area. The artificial jamming signal is introduced into the wire-tap system to interfere the eavesdroppers and decrease their signal-to-interference-plus-noise
