Janus within Janus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2006
We found a simple and interesting generalization of the non-supersymmetric Janus solution in type IIB string theory. The Janus solution can be thought of as a thick AdS_d-sliced domain wall in AdS_{d+1} space. It turns out that the AdS_d-sliced domain wall can support its own AdS_{d-1}-sliced domain wall within it.

An ERP study of anaphor resolution with focused and non-focused antecedents

open access: yesOpen Psychology, 2019
The goal of this study is to better understand when (and why) the combination of semantic overlap between antecedent and anaphor and antecedent focus leads to difficulty in anaphor processing.

Advances in Asymmetric Wettable Janus Materials for Oil–Water Separation

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
The frequent occurrence of crude oil spills and the indiscriminate discharge of oily wastewater have caused serious environmental pollution. The existing separation methods have some defects and are not suitable for complex oil–water emulsions. Therefore,

Floral attractivity of pear cultivar 'Cinderi'

open access: yesInternational Journal of Horticultural Science, 2000
The regularities of primary attractivity have been studied at the pear cultivar `Cinderi' for two years. Nectar quickly evaporates from the totally open nectary surface of pear flowers exposed to environmental effects, and the rhythmicity of nectar ...
