2D double aeolotropic conductive Janus pellicle with multi-functionality then derived 3D dual-wall Janus-type tube

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2020
Two-dimensional (2D) bilayer Janus pellicle (denoted as BJP) of concurrent double aeolotropic electrical conduction, superparamagnetism and luminescence is designed and constructed via electrospinning by using one-dimensional (1D) nanofibers and Janus ...

Immunoinflammatory Mechanisms and Biocompatibility of Bioactive Dental Biomaterials: From Fundamental Insights to Clinical Translation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Surface‐host dialogue at the implant interface governs biological fate and osseointegration. Surface physicochemical properties of titanium (Ti) dental implants, including microgrooves, nanopatterns, nanotopography, roughness, and wettability, modulate the initial adsorption of proteins and the formation of a dynamic biointerface.

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

Structural deformation and mechanical response of CrS2, CrSe2 and Janus CrSSe

open access: yes, 2021
In the framework of density functional theory (DFT), we investigate the structural deformation, and mechanical behavior of the Janus CrSSe, which has out-of-plane structural asymmetry, with conventional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) CrS2 and ...

Phase Boundary Engineering of Co2P‐CoP Branched Nanoparticles Enhances Cobalt Oxidation for Oxygen Evolution Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Phase boundaries between Co2P and CoP are constructed through a controlled transformation of Co to Co2P‐CoP branched nanoparticles. The polycrystalline mixed‐phase Co2P‐CoP branches are enriched with phase boundaries that stabilize Co active sites for OER. This work highlights phase boundary engineering as a powerful approach to tailor active sites and

El Nino Southern Oscillation and Indian Ocean Dipole teleconnection to the wetness and drought trend of Bhutan using time series (1983-2022) PERSIANN rainfall data

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation
The agrarian economy of Bhutan is highly vulnerable to rainfall uncertainties for its typical geographic location and rugged topography. Rainfall time series is also constrained by inadequate rain gauge stations in the country.
