This article explores the activities of daily life in a village neighbouring the TEPCO nuclear power plant in Fukushima. A Randomized Double-Blind Comparative Study of Sublingual Immunotherapy for Cedar Pollinosis
Background: Seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) induced by Japanese cedar pollen is a substantial problem in Japan. Sublingual immuno-therapy (SLIT) is safer than conventional antigen-specific immunotherapy, the only treatment modality by which complete ...

Experimental Sensitization with Japanese Cedar Pollen in Dogs.
Japanese cedar pollinosis is a type I allergic disease mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies to Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) pollen antigen (CPAg). By using 22 dogs consisting of 20 dogs aged 3 months and 2 dogs aged 3 years, immunization was performed by subcutaneous injections of CPAg with aluminum hydroxide gel.

Sequence of Immunological Events During IgE‐Mediated Allergic Reactions to Food

Single‐allergen dust mite subcutaneous immunotherapy achieved 68.8% perennial symptom response rate in polysensitised allergic rhinitis patients. High mould and dust mite sIgE levels predicted poor allergen immunotherapy response, which indicated allergen‐specific sIgE levels may help guide personalised allergen immunotherapy decisions.
