スギ花粉症は日本固有の季節性アレルギー疾患で,くしゃみや鼻炎症状,結膜炎症状を特徴とする.その患者数は3000万人を超えたとも言われている.症状の軽い人は,抗ヒスタミン薬や抗ロイコトリエン薬の服用で症状をある程度コントロールすることができるものの,中重症度の多くの患者さんは,既存の対症療法に満足していないのが実情で,根本的な治療法が求められている.しかしながら,現在唯一の治療法はスギ花粉エキスを皮下投与する減感作療法であるが,十分に普及していない.その主たる理由して,長期間の通院が必要であることや作用機序が十分に解明されていないこと,さらにはアナフィラキシーを誘発する危険性を回避するために,高容量のスギ花粉エキスを注射できないことが挙げられる.我々は,現状の問題を解決する新たな予防・治療法として ...
