Incorporating economic multipliers in a bid adjustment algorithm for public food procurement decision making

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
Abstract We present an adjusted bid price mechanism that incorporates economic multiplier effects in public food procurement decision making. Under Input–Output model assumptions, the algorithm estimates enhanced tax revenues to state governments through multiplier effects associated with in‐state supplier purchasing.

When the poor give more than the rich: The role of resource evaluability on relative giving

open access: yesJournal of Behavioral Decision Making, Volume 36, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Five experiments examined the role of resource evaluability on giving. We systematically varied participants' resources they and another potential donor received and whether they could donate to a recipient either by themselves or with the other donor.

Optical Properties of Spin‐Coated Solution Processed MoS2

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Developing a solution‐based method to deposit MoS2 monolayer flakes offers significant potential for scalable, cost‐effective production and enhanced optoelectronic properties. However, challenges such as achieving uniform monolayer coverage, controlling flake size and orientation, and repeatability need to be addressed to realize the full potential of

Patchouli Ethanol Extract Pogostemon cablin Benth. Against Aging Profiles in Doxorubicin‐Induced 3T3‐L1 Fibroblast Cell Lines

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Pogostemon cablin Benth. (PCEE) is a promising antiaging agent that inhibits ROS, decreases the senescence‐associated β‐galactosidase (SA‐β‐gal) gene, and maintains telomere length in doxorubicin‐induced 3T3‐L1 fibroblast cells. The researchers extend their gratitude to www.freepik.com for providing Figure telomer.

PseudoCell: A Multivalued Logical Regulatory Network to Investigate Premature Senescence Dynamics and Heterogeneity

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Premature cellular senescence is a pivotal process in aging and age‐related diseases, triggered by various stressors. However, this is not a homogeneous phenotype, but a heterogeneous cellular state composed of multiple senescence programs with different compositions. Therefore, understanding the complex dynamics of senescence programs

Clinical features and power spectral entropy of electroencephalography in Wilson's disease with dystonia

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 12, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
WD patients with dystonia were more susceptible to suffer from low BMI and highߚlevel neurological dysfunctions. It was the first time to apply the PSE of EEG to detect the cortical synaptic activity in WD patients. The cortical activities of the WD patients with dystonia seemed to be more chaotic during the eyes‐closed and reading tasks but lower ...
